Miss Kumu Gupta founder of Global Peace Secretariat has spent over two decades helping community globally and in USA volunteering her time helping victims of domestic violence, elimination of child labor working with Nobel Peace Laureate Kailash Satyarthi and global peace with Gandhi Smriti in Delhi, India where Mahatma Gandhi spent his final 144 days.
Kumu's been involved with the U.N. for many years (UN Women, ILO, Office of Human Rights Commissioner, UN Stamps, UNEP, WHO, WMO) as well as UNA S.F. & G.B.. Kumu was Speaker at 50th Ann. (S.F.), Panelist 58th Ann. & Chair &Organizer 60th Ann. (Boston) Declaration of Human Rights Day.
Kumu Gupta is recipient of President's Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition Community Leadership Award as member of the President's Challenge Program of President's Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition (2011-2016) , President's Volunteer Service Award Lifetime Achievement (President's Call to Service) for 20+ yrs. community service. And KUMU Consulting headed by Kumu Gupta became certifying organization of President's Volunteer Service Award , all under President Obama.
Kumu's Alma mater S.U.N.Y Stony Brook was on President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll 3 times, once with distinction (under President Obama). And an U.N. IMPACT Champion of the IMPACT 10X10X10 Program and the HeForShe Movement for Gender Equality .
* Kumu took Sign Language in college and participated in "I CAN DO IT YOU CAN DO IT" campaign of First Lady Mrs. Obama.
As part of Smithsonian Institution's Asian American & Pacific Islander Initiative's Home Spun Project, Miss Kumu Gupta contributed an oral history of her journey as an Indian American in the U.S. which is housed in the research library of the Work & Industry Division of the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History.
Kumu was on Advisory Board of Massachusetts AAPI (Asian American Pacific Islander) Commission. Kumu was able to get Senator Ted Kennedy's message in a letter for program book of Commission's Annual Unity Dinner.

Kumu Gupta has spent over 2 decades helping victims of domestic violence and founded Donate-A-Cell Phone program for Saheli, South Asian Women's non profit helping victims, to call for help with annual renewal of free 3000 minutes by forging a relationship with Verizon Wireless HopeLine program.
As Vice Chair of Mayor's Human Rights Commission, Kumu was on organizing committee of "Stand in the Sand" event where 1500 men in the audience of Brockton Rox baseball game stood up and took pledge to stop domestic violence. And attended White Ribbon Campaign Day (Men Against Domestic Violence) program at the MA State House in Boston.
Kumu has filed proposals with US and UN Postal Offices for issuance of a stamp commomerating September 14 2024, 30th Ann. Violence Against Women Act (VAWA).
Kumu was also involved with IVAWA (International Violence Against Women Act) which her Congressman , William Delahunt , filed. Kumu helped Minister of Exernal Affairs Mrs. Sushma Swaraj (India) riase awareness of her NRI (Non Resident Indians) Mariage Bill in USA , having stiff penalities like consficating of passport, for spouses of victims of domestic violence living outside India in other countries around the world.
Kumu was appointed (Hon.) to Mayor's Commission on Women & US Congressman William Keating's Women's Advisory Board for her dedication and passion in helping victims of domestic violence & their families & is recipient of Massachusetts Governor's & Norfolk County District Attorney's Special Citation of Recognition for her volunteer work.

Kumu Gupta has spent over a decade helping childrens's rights, working with Operations Days Work USA (ODW) students of Broad Meadows Middle School (Quincy , MA) after school program in elimination of child labor., for which the students gave Kumu title "Special Advisor". Broad Meadows is 1 of 6 founding schools of ODW program, an USAID partner.
Kumu has been working with Nobel Peace Laureate Kailash Satyarthi for over a decade on child labor including 100 Million campaign and organized Global Day of Action event at the Massachusetts (MA) State House where ODW students met legislators for child labor policy issues following pre release screening of "Price of Free" documentary on Kailash Satyarthi and his work. This event was model for other such Satyarthi Children's Foundation USA programs across US.

Kumu arranged for a New Jersey based non profit working on UN SDG Goal 4 (Education), to offer 1 year free virtual classes on AI/Robotics to children rescued from child labor in Kailash Satyarthi's Bal Ashram (Jaipur, India) duirng COVID-19 pandemic, with participation of Kinsu Kumar , a Billion Acts of Kindness Award winner from Bal Ashram.
* Kumu was invited to give key remarks at Kailash Satyathi's Mother Teresa Award Ceremony (Mumbai, India).
*Kumu's article on Kailash Satyarthi and Broad Meadows Middle School students in Times of India newspaper got 100 Facebook Likes in first week of posting.
In working with Anthony Shriver (son of Special Olympics founder Mrs. Eunice Kennedy Shriver) Founder Best Buddies, Kumu tried implementing Best Buddies program pairing mentally & physically challenged children with normal children mentors in schools in India , a long cherished dream of Kumu's. But it didn't happen as unknown to Kumu at the time, India had plans of testing its own pilot program, delayed due to Covid pandemic.

As Vice Chair of Mayor's Human Rights Commission, Kumu organized & Char'd 60th Ann. Universal Declaration of Human Rights Day program. and Co Chair of 13th MLK Day Breakfast. Kumu arranged for Church Bell ringing for 3 minutes of the Church of President's (family church of Founding Father John Adams & his son 6th US President John Quincy Adams) on 50th Ann. Dr. King's March on Washington, as part of a gloabl church bell ringing for the same.
Kumu was special invited guest to the unveiling of "The Embrace" Dr. King-Mrs. Coretta King sculputre on Boston Common, attended by Martin Luther King III, Dr. King;s son.
Kumu in working with Gandhi Smriti -Delhi, India where Mahatma Gandhi spent his final 144 days, launched a massive effort to introduce a free course in using non violent communication based non Mahatma Gandhi's message of peace, across USA, talking to Universities, non profits, consulates, schools, UN Associations and individuals.
